Outdoor DJ Event
On 17 September 2026, Centergross @ Sunset brought music and entertainment to the Centergross commercial district in Funo di Argelato, near Bologna, welcoming more than 1,600 attendees for an evening featuring DJ sets by Samuel of Subsonica and DJ Fresco, alongside food and social experiences.
The sound reinforcement was handled by Volume Pro Service, led by Andrea Gemignani, using a system from the Montarbo Nettuno series, complemented by additional Montarbo loudspeakers to cover the main event area, the DJ console and the stage.
The main PA featured16 Nettuno L28 line array modules paired with 8 Nettuno S182 subwoofers. A dedicated sidefill setup around the DJ console featured 8 additional Nettuno L28 modules, arranged in two groups of four on either side of the console, supported by 2 Nettuno S181 subwoofers for local monitoring. Under the stage, four pairs of stacked subwoofers were topped with four Montarbo R115 loudspeakers positioned horizontally, extending sound reinforcement to the stage area.
Performance beyond expectations
For Volume Pro Service, the event was an opportunity to test Nettuno in a demanding, large-scale setting. Although the team was initially accustomed to working with physically larger systems for events of this size, the results exceeded expectations. Andrea Gemignani highlighted the system’s combination of sound pressure, definition and headroom, alongside the practical advantages of its lightweight, compact modules and intuitive rigging mechanics, which made handling, logistics and setup considerably easier.
“On paper, the Nettuno system might have seemed close to its limits in a context like this; in reality, its performance on site dispelled every doubt, going well beyond expectations. The system delivered impressive efficiency and sound pressure, while maintaining excellent clarity and headroom.”
– Andrea Gemignani, Volume Pro Service
The system’s operational practicality was another key strength, helping streamline installation and handling throughout the event.
“From handling the carts to the rigging mechanics and initial configuration, the system proved extremely practical, quick and intuitive to set up and get running.” Andrea states.
The positive feedback received from DJ Fresco during the soundcheck and set further confirmed the quality of the system’s performance. The event concluded with full satisfaction from the client and organisers, and Volume Pro Service also acknowledged the Montarbo technical and sales teams for their support throughout the project.
The Centergross @ Sunset event demonstrated how the Montarbo Nettuno system combines high sound pressure and sonic definition with ease of handling and straightforward setup, meeting the demands of a large-scale event while exceeding the expectations of the team responsible for sound reinforcement.
